Virginia health officials have lifted the remaining recreational water advisory for the Potomac River between the American Legion Memorial Bridge on Interstate 495 and the Route 120 Chain Bridge.

The Virginia Department of Health plans to continue reviewing sampling data as cleanup efforts proceed following a Jan. 19 sewage spill in Maryland.

The Nepalese community gathered Tuesday to remember Mamta Thapa and her mother, Binda Thapa, who were killed in a domestic stabbing at a Mantua apartment complex. The service honored both women and included prayers for the man accused of killing them.

The Belle Haven Professional Center at 5845 Richmond Highway is being offered for sale. The eight-story, 97,581-square-foot office building is 56% leased to medical and professional tenants. Because its floodplain and resource-protection area restrict redevelopment possibilities, it is being marketed primarily to businesses interested in occupying the property.

Frontier Airlines plans to begin daily nonstop service from Dulles International Airport to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on May 21. The Airbus A320 route will become the airline’s ninth nonstop destination from Dulles.

The 2026 Vienna Photo Show drew 156 entries from 60 amateur photographers across the region. The award-winning work was displayed at the Vienna Community Center on March 14 and 15, attracting 171 attendees.
