QTS Data Centers has signed a lease for 77,000 square feet at 1800 Reston Row Plaza in Reston Station, according to an Aug. 4 announcement from developer Comstock Companies.
The leased space covers the building’s entire 11th, 12th and 13th floors. QTS plans to use the Reston Row location for headquarters administrative functions supporting the company’s growth.
A Comstock spokesperson described the lease at Reston Station as serving as QTS’s headquarters location. QTS also maintains headquarters locations at 22271 Broderick Drive in the Ashburn area and in Overland Park, Kansas, according to the announcement. The announcement does not clarify the operational distinction among those locations.
“As QTS continues to grow, we are making long-term investments in our people that support our growth plans and provide an unparalleled employee experience,” Tag Greason, QTS co-CEO, said in the announcement.
Greason also said, “Reston Station’s premier location, accessibility and vibrant business community make it an ideal home for our headquarters.”
QTS has four data centers in Ashburn and one in Manassas. The company also has one data center in the Richmond metro area, with three additional Richmond-area facilities in development.
QTS is among the companies leasing space at Reston Row. Razor’s Edge Ventures and Booz Allen Hamilton have also signed leases there. The JW Marriott Hotel and Residences and the 419-unit BLVD Haley apartment building are open.
Reston Row’s retail tenants include Noku Sushi, Tous les Jours and Vida Fitness. Ebbitt House is expected to open in the fall, though the announcement does not specify a date.
