Record-Breaking Fairfax Car Show Raises More Than $60,000

More than 7,000 people packed downtown Fairfax for the 26th annual Labor Day Car Show, where a record 423 vehicles were displayed and over $60,000 was raised for charity.

More than 7,000 people packed downtown Fairfax for the 26th annual Labor Day Car Show, where a record 423 vehicles were displayed and over $60,000 was raised for charity.

The event, organized jointly by the City of Fairfax and the Clifton Lions Club, became the largest car show in Fairfax County history, according to Lions Club member Jim Chesley. Organizer Jeff Greenfield said it was also the largest car show in Northern Virginia.

Visitors explored vehicles ranging from classic cars to customized trucks and motorcycles. Among the displays were a 1965 Ford Mustang, a 1979 Chevrolet Camaro featuring distinctive artwork, and a lifted 2022 Ford F-250 owned by Woody’s Ice Cream owner Chris Gilbert.

A 2005 Softail Deluxe Harley-Davidson was also part of the show.

Organizers credited ideal weather with helping make the charity event a success.
