Reston’s signature Multicultural Festival will mark its 25th anniversary this fall, and applications are now open for performers, artisans, culturally inspired businesses and community organizations seeking to participate.

The festival is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Reston Town Center. Applications are due Friday, April 10, with limited space available in each category.

More than 20 performances will unfold across three stages, accompanied by interactive street-level activities. The Market Street Stroll will feature traditional crafts, handmade products and local community groups.

Over its history, the annual festival has welcomed nationally significant artists, including National Heritage Fellows recognized by the National Endowment for the Arts.

“What makes this festival extraordinary is the sense of belonging it creates,” Reston Community Center Executive Director BeBe Nguyen said. “For many, it is a moment to see their heritage celebrated and shared. For others, it is a chance to experience something new.”

Nguyen said reaching the 25-year milestone gives added meaning to the celebration and that organizers are eager to welcome the artists and organizations that will shape the anniversary event.

Reston Community Center presents the family-friendly festival in partnership with the Reston Town Center Association. BXP co-hosts the event at Reston Town Center, while Reston Association coordinates volunteers.
