SYN Rooftop Bar & Lounge opened Saturday, March 1, bringing panoramic Northern Virginia views, cocktails and shareable plates to the expanded Reston Town Center development.
Located on the 16th floor of the AC Hotel & Residence Inn by Marriott at 1975 Opportunity Way, the all-season venue offers indoor and outdoor seating. It aims to attract local residents as well as business travelers and tourists.
SYN is open Tuesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight. Its menu, developed by Executive Chef Alexis Hernandez and Food & Beverage Director Ceren Hunt, combines influences from several culinary traditions.
The lounge takes its name from the Greek word for “together,” reflecting its focus on creating a gathering place for dinner, late-night drinks and small plates.
“Great hospitality isn’t just about serving food and drinks — it’s about creating a space where people feel welcome, connected, and taken care of,” Hunt said. She added that the venue was designed for both quick cocktail visits and longer evenings with friends.
The opening follows the completion of the AC Hotel & Residence Inn, announced by Donohoe Construction on Feb. 5. Donohoe Development constructed the building, which was designed by Cooper Carry Architects.
