Tysons Corner Center will serve up samples from more than 40 restaurants during the fourth annual Taste of Tysons on Saturday, May 16.
The free event runs from noon to 3 p.m. across the shopping center and on PenFed Plaza. Along with food and beverage tastings, visitors can watch cooking demonstrations, hear live music and enter raffles and giveaways.
General admission is open to the public. Registration is appreciated but not required.
A $30 ticket provides access to a VIP lounge on PenFed Plaza, featuring selected tastings and pairings from Barrel & Bushel, Eddie V’s, Earls, Nordstrom Café + Ebar and Seasons 52. VIP tickets will be sold in advance and at the event on a first-come, first-served basis. Proceeds will benefit Food for Others.
From noon to 1 p.m., guests can pick up a Passport to Delicious and collect stamps while visiting participating restaurants throughout the center. Completed passports can be entered into drawings for gift cards from Eddie V’s, Earls, Barrel & Bushel and Seasons 52.
Live chef demonstrations will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. on PenFed Plaza and will be shown on the plaza’s new outdoor digital board. Passport raffle entries may also be submitted during that hour.
Risky Shenanigans will perform live from 2 to 3 p.m., when organizers will hold more giveaways and close the afternoon with additional activities.
New attractions this year include a race-day-themed PenFed Credit Union “pit stop,” featuring a Porsche 911 Cup Car, an on-site driving simulator, snacks and giveaways. The activation draws on PenFed’s support of professional driver Sabré Cook in the Porsche Carrera Cup North America series.
Hershey Super Sweet Adventure will also join the event, while the soon-to-open Maggiano’s Little Italy will offer visitors an early preview.
The plaza’s digital screen will carry live moments from the chef demonstrations and VIP area, show guests in attendance and announce Passport to Delicious raffle winners.
Participating eateries include &Pizza, Cinnabon, Cha Street Food, Dhoom, Häagen-Dazs, Istanbul Kitchen, Moe’s Chicken, Moge Tee, Naan & Beyond, Shake Shack, China Kitchen and Chef Lin.
