The Boro is launching a seasonal beer garden in Tysons with three days of live music, specials and giveaways beginning Thursday, June 4.
The Boro Biergarten will open in Boro Park at 8350 Broad Street, outside Él Bebe. Its grand opening celebration will run from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, followed by a family-friendly festival from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 6.
Thursday and Friday’s happy hour events will feature live performances and food and drink specials. The first 100 guests each day will receive a branded pint glass, and attendees can enter daily raffles for a $50 gift card to a Boro retailer.
Saturday’s festival will add glitter tattoos, bubbles, chalk stations and a roaming magician alongside afternoon music. Participating Boro restaurants and retailers will also host pop-ups and special activities. Another $50 gift card raffle is planned, and pint glasses will be distributed to the first 100 guests while supplies last.
Admission is free and tickets are not required, though organizers are encouraging advance registration to help them plan for attendance.
The outdoor venue is a partnership between The Boro’s owner and developer, The Meridian Group, and Metropolitan Hospitality Group. The hospitality company opened Él Bebe and Circa at the development in December 2022.
A spokesperson said the biergarten was created to bring more activity to The Boro’s public spaces. The seasonal gathering place will offer outdoor seating, lawn games and live music for after-work visits and family outings.
Él Bebe will provide all food and drinks, including a menu of tacos, rice bowls, salads and appetizers. Beer, wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages will be available, along with two children’s options. Seasonal dishes and happy hour specials are expected throughout the summer.
After opening weekend, regular hours are scheduled for 4 to 8 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and noon to 8 p.m. Saturdays. Because the biergarten is entirely outdoors, its warmer-month operations may change with the weather.
The concept follows The Boro’s earlier outdoor-bar experiment with The Sandlot, a pop-up that arrived in summer 2021. The permanent seasonal attraction also gives the development another way to draw visitors as nearby destinations find success with Starr Hill Biergarten at The Perch and the Shipgarten pop-up.
