The Boro in Tysons will welcome two new attractions within days of each other as Egyptian restaurant Fava Pot and the interactive Game Show Battle Rooms prepare to open in late March.

Fava Pot will hold its grand opening at noon on March 23 at 1624 Boro Place, replacing Tasty Kabob. Complimentary tastings of the restaurant’s signature bites will be available until 6 p.m.

The opening marks a return to Tysons for owner Dina Daniel, who launched Fava Pot in 2013 as a food truck serving the area’s office workers. She described coming back to the neighborhood as both an accomplishment and a blessing.

The restaurant is expected to use a fast-casual format similar to Fava Pot’s Dupont Circle location. Its menu features Egyptian street food, including chicken kabob rice bowls and kofta sandwiches. Breakfast dishes like those served at its original West Falls Church storefront are also anticipated.

Game Show Battle Rooms will follow on March 27, opening at 1640 Boro Place, Suite 208. The live-hosted attraction lets visitors compete as contestants in simulated, team-based game shows designed for corporate outings, celebrations and other social gatherings.

Guests can select a classic showdown featuring Survey Battles, the puzzle-based Spin and Solve, and the price-guessing game What’s That Cost. A separate primetime lineup includes Survey Battles, Time Rush Games and Match-Up Wars, in which contestants attempt to predict their teammates’ answers.

The businesses join the recently opened NOVA Plastic Surgery & Dermatology at The Boro. Interior-design retailers TileBar and California Closets are also expected to open there soon.
