Dr. Chong Lee has spent decades developing a Tysons dental practice that combines cosmetic work with treatment focused on the muscles, nerves and bones of the face and jaw.
A second-generation dentist, Lee earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Georgetown University School of Dentistry. He later trained at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, where he attained Fellow status.
That training introduced Lee to physiologic dentistry, an approach that looks beyond individual teeth to examine how a patient’s bite interacts with the jaw and surrounding muscles. At Galleria Dental Aesthetics, Lee applies those principles when treating patients experiencing migraines, jaw pain and temporomandibular disorders.
The practice seeks to identify what it calls a “physiologic bite,” or a jaw position in which the muscles are relaxed. Treatment may involve adjusting bite alignment with the goal of improving oral function and reducing discomfort.
Lee also performs cosmetic and restorative procedures, including porcelain veneers, full-mouth reconstruction, Lumineers, Invisalign treatment and metal-free restorations. The office uses digital imaging and laser technology as part of its dental care.
Located at 1600 Tysons Boulevard in McLean, the practice was designed to feel more like a hotel or gallery than a conventional clinic. That atmosphere reflects the team’s effort to make dental visits less stressful while pairing clinical treatment with detailed smile design.
Lee’s connection to the McLean, Vienna and Tysons business community has developed alongside the area’s transformation from a suburban retail destination into a more urban commercial center. He has also participated in philanthropic work and mentored others in dentistry.
Despite its emphasis on technology and aesthetics, the practice’s work ranges from helping patients eat more comfortably to improving smiles and addressing persistent headaches or jaw discomfort.
