The Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center has completed a $13 million redesign of all 300 guest rooms, introducing a fashion-inspired look tied to the hotel’s neighboring shopping destination.
Texas-based interior design firm FlickMars led the renovation, dubbed “Styled for Living: Where Fashion Meets Hospitality.” The updated rooms blend practical, residential-style comfort with details influenced by fashion brands found at Tysons Corner Center.
Upholstered beds evoke the shape and movement of couture clothing, while headboards draw inspiration from luxury handbags and accessories. Desk chairs include subtle nods to tailored suits and pocket squares, and corridor carpets mimic the textures and finishes of jewelry.
General Manager Christine Nerone said the project builds on the hotel’s existing strengths by combining fashion-oriented design, everyday comfort and direct mall access.
The 18-story hotel opened in April 2015 at 7901 Tysons One Place. At the time, it was the first new full-service hotel to open in Tysons in more than two decades.
Its debut was part of a broader push by mall owner Macerich to transform Tysons Corner Center into a mixed-use destination. The mall’s plaza, now known as PenFed Plaza, opened the previous summer. One month after the Hyatt began operating, residents started moving into the nearby 30-story Vita apartment building, which has 429 units.
Macerich worked on the room renovation with fellow hotel owner Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation and manager Woodbine Development Corporation. The partners said the goal was to connect the hotel more closely with the property’s retail and lifestyle offerings.
Planned collaborations between the mall, hotel and retailers include personalized shopping experiences, in-room styling and family activities. Participating attractions and businesses are expected to include American Girl, Level99, the temporary Hershey Super Sweet Experience and AMC Theatres.
The hotel is also promoting its remodeled rooms with a “New Room, New Stay” package available to book through Sept. 30 for stays through Jan. 31, 2027. The offer includes complimentary self-parking for one vehicle per night and a $50 food-and-beverage credit.
Macerich Assistant Vice President of National Operations Jesse Benites said the renovation is intended to strengthen connections among lodging, shopping, dining and entertainment while supporting the property’s long-term value and appeal.
