Dr. Diane Pham has spent more than two decades practicing dentistry, combining her Northern Virginia roots with a focus on personalized cosmetic, restorative and family care.

Born in Honolulu, Pham grew up in Alexandria and considers Northern Virginia home. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from George Mason University before completing her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 1998.

Pham joined a Vienna dental practice in 2005. A decade later, she established it as Capital Esthetics & Family Dentistry, where her team treats adults and children from across Northern Virginia.

The office was intentionally designed as a smaller dental studio, emphasizing individual attention instead of the higher-volume approach associated with large dental chains. Its care spans family, cosmetic, restorative, periodontal and pediatric dentistry.

Services include examinations, cleanings, digital X-rays, tooth-colored fillings, crowns, bridges, implants, dentures, extractions and gum disease treatment. The practice also provides cosmetic bonding, porcelain veneers, professional whitening and smile design.

Orthodontic and restorative options include Invisalign, Six Month Smiles, fixed prosthodontics, endodontic treatment and implant-supported care. Other offerings range from fluoride treatments, sealants and retainers to night guards, intraoral imaging, air abrasion and iTero 3D scanning.

The practice accepts walk-in appointments Monday through Thursday and says its staff can assist with dental emergencies.

Pham belongs to the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Northern Virginia Dental Society and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She is also included in the ADA’s national Find-a-Dentist directory.

Online reviews frequently praise Pham’s detailed explanations, conservative approach and attention to cosmetic results. At the time described, Capital Esthetics & Family Dentistry had a five-star Birdeye rating based on 264 reviews. Pham’s Zocdoc profile showed a 4.78 overall rating, including 4.89 for bedside manner and 5 out of 5 for wait time.

Patients also highlighted the office’s technology, friendly staff and efforts to make nervous visitors more comfortable. One Vienna patient credited Pham with carefully reconstructing his smile while balancing its appearance and function.

Beyond patient care, the practice supports community sponsorships and participates in oral-health observances, including National Oral Health Month in April. Its broader philosophy centers on keeping dental care local, relationship-based and accessible to families seeking an alternative to large corporate practices.
