Dr. Geith Kallas has spent more than three decades building a Northern Virginia dental practice that combines general care with cosmetic procedures and multiple specialties.
Kallas, the founder and CEO of Smile Makers Dental Center, is based in the Vienna and Tysons area. His practice has expanded to six locations and offers services ranging from routine restorative work to oral surgery, orthodontics and treatment for jaw and sleep-related conditions.
Kallas earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1989. He later completed a postdoctoral program at Howard University College of Dentistry and finished an internship at D.C. General Hospital in 1993.
From 2001 through 2005, he pursued graduate training in cosmetic dentistry at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. His studies there included aesthetic and neuromuscular dentistry.
Smile Makers Dental Center brings several disciplines together within one practice, including prosthodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, orthodontics and endodontics. It also treats temporomandibular joint disorders and sleep apnea.
Its services include veneers, whitening and other cosmetic treatments; single-tooth and full-arch dental implants; Invisalign and other clear aligners; crowns and restorative care; sedation dentistry; and laser procedures.
Kallas has said cosmetic dentistry influenced his broader approach to patient care. He incorporated its materials and techniques into general dentistry with the goal of producing restorations that are durable, functional and natural-looking.
His professional affiliations include the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, American Academy of Laser Dentistry, International Association for Orthodontics and American Academy of Craniofacial Pain.
Kallas has received honors including Virginia “Dentist of the Year” and recognition as a Top Dentist from the Consumers’ Research Council of America. He has also appeared on lists of America’s Best Dentists and participated in media interviews about developments in dental technology.
Beyond his clinical work, Kallas contributes time and professional expertise to the WIN Foundation, which assists battered and homeless women. He also serves on several nonprofit boards.
Smile Makers’ Tysons office is located at 8310 Old Courthouse Road, Suite A. It is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, with Saturday visits available by appointment.
