Vienna residents ages 55 and older can explore health resources and have family heirlooms evaluated during the town’s Wellness and Safety Expo on Friday, May 8.

The event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry St. SE, in Vienna. More than 50 local vendors will offer educational materials, giveaways and resources designed to support older adults.

The expo will cover several dimensions of wellness, including mental, social, environmental and financial health. Attendees will have opportunities to gather practical information from participating organizations throughout the three-hour event.

Matthew Quinn of Quinn’s Auction Galleries will also discuss current sales trends in the auction industry and share suggestions for handling family heirlooms.

Experts will appraise one or two items per attendee on a first-come, first-served basis. Books will not be accepted for appraisal. The appraisal service will be available from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., ending half an hour before the expo closes.

Additional information is available through the Town of Vienna’s wellness webpage or by calling 703-255-7801.
