Vienna Restaurant Week begins Friday, March 7, bringing prix fixe menus, discounts and other specials to 44 restaurants across town.
The fourth annual event opens with a celebration from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Vienna Town Green. The gathering will feature music, giveaways and free refreshments.
Participating businesses range from dine-in establishments to fast-casual spots, with American, Asian, Indian and Italian food among the available options.
One newcomer is Carnegie Diner & Cafe, which opened last summer at 501 Maple Avenue West.
Vienna Economic Development Director Nicole Toulouse said the event gives diners a chance to revisit favorite businesses or discover new restaurants and specialty shops while supporting the local economy.
Restaurant owners have reported increased patronage during previous Restaurant Weeks, while diners have praised the variety of options available in Vienna, Toulouse said.
