Virginia’s 2026 wine festival calendar is filling up with tastings, live music, regional food and artisan markets. Events run from May through October at vineyards, historic estates, downtown districts and waterfront venues across the commonwealth.

May festivals

Mount Vernon’s Spring Wine Festival runs May 15-17 from 6 to 9 p.m. at 3200 Mount Vernon Memorial Highway. Guests can sample Virginia wines on the east lawn, listen to The Hula Monsters and receive a commemorative glass while marking the United States’ 250th anniversary. General admission ranges from $51 to $66, with discounted member tickets. Saturday is sold out.

The 38th Annual Virginia Wine & Craft Festival takes over downtown Front Royal from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 16. The event features Virginia wineries, cideries, meaderies, artisans, food vendors and live entertainment. Admission is $30, plus a $1.50 fee.

DuCard Vineyards, at 40 Gibson Hollow Lane in Etlan, hosts its third annual Jazz & Jambalaya festival from noon to 9 p.m. May 23. Zuzu’s Hot 5, Ken’s Rhythm Changers — Brass Band Edition and Nathan DiNapoli will perform, while New Iberia Kitchen serves jambalaya and other food. Tickets cost $35.

The Bull Run Wine Festival is scheduled for noon to 5 p.m. May 30 and 31 at The Winery at Bull Run, 15950 Lee Highway in Centreville. The $48 ticket includes tastings from Virginia vineyards and a featured brewery. Food, music, artisan shopping and bottle sales are also planned.

June through August

Woodbrook Farm Vineyard’s Sip Into Summer Wine Festival runs from noon to 5 p.m. June 6 at 11461 Spicers Mill Road in Orange. The afternoon will include Virginia wineries, live music, a food truck and opportunities to meet winemakers and owners. Advance admission is $45, rising to $60 on the event day.

Breaux Vineyards, at 36888 Breaux Vineyards Lane in Purcellville, celebrates New Orleans and Cajun culture from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 13. Cajun Fest will feature zydeco music, themed food trucks and craft vendors.

Also on June 13, K9’s in the Vines begins at 11 a.m. at The Winery at La Grange, 4970 Antioch Road in Haymarket. Participants and their dogs can walk through the vineyard, stopping at wine bars and treat stations. The $20 admission includes a stemless glass, and walk proceeds will support a local animal rescue that had not yet been announced.

Breaux Vineyards returns with its Key West Festival from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 11. The South Florida-inspired event includes Caribbean music, island-themed food and craft vendors.

The Purcellville Wine & Food Festival is set for 2 to 8 p.m. July 18 at Fireman’s Field Park. Early general admission costs $10, while VIP tables are $275. The annual gathering highlights Purcellville’s place in Loudoun County wine country, an area also home to breweries, restaurants, shops and a distillery.

The indoor FXBG Summer Wine Festival runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 19 at Spotsylvania Towne Centre, 137 Spotsylvania Mall Drive in Fredericksburg. Visitors can sample Virginia wines while walking through the air-conditioned venue. Early-bird general admission is $28.52 and increases to $33.85 starting June 30.

Hill Top Winery & Meadery plans its Annual Blackberry Harvest and Music Festival at 2800 Berry Hill Road in Nellysford. The listing gives the date as Saturday, August 31, while its accompanying description says August 1, 2026. Organizers should be consulted to confirm the date. The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with music and food for purchase from Sooner BBQ and More. Admission is $10 for adults 21 and older.

Fall festival lineup

Rebec Vineyards, 2229 North Amherst Highway in Amherst, hosts its 15th Annual Labor Day Wine & Music Fest from noon to 6 p.m. September 5. The wooded festival grounds will feature music, drinks, food and local artists. Early-bird general admission is $13.08, while an early wine-tasting ticket costs $26.90.

The 29th Annual Fall Wine Festival comes to Neptune’s Park at 31st Street and Atlantic Avenue in Virginia Beach from 4 to 8 p.m. September 11 and noon to 5 p.m. September 12. Tickets begin at $40 and include access to tastings from a selection of more than 60 wines. Food, live entertainment and wine sales will also be available.

Stratford Hall’s Wine & Oyster Festival takes place September 19 and 20 at 483 Great House Road in Stratford Hall. More than a dozen Virginia wineries will participate alongside oyster vendors, distilleries, musicians, artisans and food trucks. Video games and car shows are also planned.

Mount Vernon’s Fall Wine Festival returns October 9-11 from 6 to 9 p.m. Visitors can sample Virginia wines on the east lawn overlooking the Potomac River, hear Bruce Ewan and the Solid Senders and take home a commemorative glass. General admission ranges from $51 to $66, with lower prices for members. Public ticket sales begin July 13.

The Virginia Wine & Garlic Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. October 10 and 11 at Rebec Vineyards. The two-day event combines Virginia wine tastings with garlic foods, four music stages, a children’s area and more than 100 craft vendors. Early-bird general admission is $23.71, or $34.34 with wine tasting.

The season concludes with the 38th Annual Town Point Virginia Fall Wine Festival from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. October 17 and 18 at Town Point Park on Norfolk’s downtown waterfront. More than 25 Virginia wineries are expected to showcase over 200 wines. Saturday tasting tickets cost $45, while Sunday tickets are $40.
