Metro riders heading to Downtown Largo this weekend will need to use free shuttle buses for part of their trips as rail service is suspended beyond Stadium-Armory on the Blue Line and rerouted on the Silver Line.

Blue Line trains will operate between Franconia-Springfield and Stadium-Armory every 12 minutes, shifting to every 15 minutes after 9:30 p.m. No Blue Line trains will run between Stadium-Armory and Downtown Largo.

Free Express and Local shuttle buses will connect the affected stations. Metro estimates an end-to-end trip will take about 30 minutes on the Express shuttle or 50 minutes on the Local shuttle.

Silver Line trains will maintain normal service between Ashburn and New Carrollton but will not serve Downtown Largo.

The Orange, Yellow, Red and Green lines are expected to operate normally.
