Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts is adding a new Latin American music festival to its summer calendar, bringing Colombian stars Juanes and Carlos Vives to the Filene Center on July 12 and 13.
The inaugural Todo Sonido festival is set to feature 16 musical acts over two days. Juanes will headline Saturday’s program, while Vives will close the festival Sunday.
Vives has helped introduce wider audiences to vallenato, a traditional Colombian folk style, by combining it with other genres. He has sold more than 20 million albums during his career and was named the Latin Recording Academy’s Person of the Year last year.
“I am thrilled to be part of the Todo Sonido Festival at the iconic Wolf Trap,” Vives said. “It’s an incredible opportunity to share our music, El Rock de mi Pueblo, and connect with such an incredible audience.”
Juanes, a multiple Grammy Award winner known for Latin pop and rock, has a long connection to Wolf Trap and the Washington area. He has performed regularly at the venue, played early club shows in the region and appeared three times on NPR’s Tiny Desk concert series, most recently on Sept. 16, 2024.
“For many years now, no other venue in the area has welcomed me as often and warmly as Wolf Trap,” Juanes said. “I’ve been blessed to enjoy several sold-out shows with unforgettable audiences and am looking forward to adding another extraordinary night with this year’s Todo Sonido Festival.”
The festival will begin at 10 a.m. July 12 with a family-friendly performance by Sonia de los Santos at Wolf Trap’s Children’s Theatre-In-The-Woods, 1551 Trap Road. That performance requires a separate ticket.
All other scheduled performers are included with festival admission.

Early-bird tickets for the general public go on sale Friday, March 14, at 10 a.m., following the start of member presales Tuesday. Single-day admission begins at $75, and a limited-time 10% discount will be available for two-day tickets.
Festivalgoers may buy food from the venue’s concession stands and Latin cuisine food trucks or bring their own food and drinks.
A $125 VIP package includes reserved parking, commemorative gifts, drink tickets and entry to the private Meadow Lounge. The lounge offers a bar, complimentary snacks and beverages, and air-conditioned restrooms.
