The wait is nearly over for Washington-area fans of the famed Italian marketplace. Eataly has officially confirmed it will open its first DC-region location at Tysons Corner Center in 2027.
The announcement puts to rest months of speculation fueled by permit filings that had hinted at the company’s plans. The sprawling food hall concept, which combines Italian grocery shopping, restaurants, and cooking classes under one roof, will mark Eataly’s entry into the Northern Virginia market.
Tysons Corner Center continues to position itself as a dining destination, and landing Eataly represents a significant coup for the shopping center. The marketplace chain operates locations in major cities across the United States and internationally, drawing crowds who come for fresh pasta, imported cheeses, house-made gelato, and sit-down Italian dining.
