The Japanese lifestyle retailer Teso Life is expanding its Virginia footprint with a new location in Seven Corners, according to Fairfax County planning documents.

The company has applied to renovate a 12,535-square-foot space at 6164 Arlington Blvd in Willston Centre, a building previously occupied by CVS. Plans submitted to the county call for demolishing interior walls, constructing new partitions, revising the sales and storage layout, and electrical work. The plans have not yet been approved.

Workers have already begun preparing the space. Doors propped open last week revealed an entirely bare interior, while the building’s exterior was covered with “coming soon” signage.

A Growing Virginia Presence

Teso Life opened its first Virginia store at 13860 Braddock Road in Centreville earlier this year, drawing massive crowds to the grand opening. The retailer also operates a location in Rockville, Maryland.

The chain sells Asian imported foods, drinks, home goods, toys, collectibles, and beauty products. With 33 locations currently open, Teso Life aims to reach 51 stores across 18 states by the end of 2026. At least one additional Northern Virginia location is planned for Sterling’s Sugarland Crossing shopping center.

The retailer did not respond to multiple requests for comment about the Seven Corners location or its opening timeline.

Seven Corners Becomes an Asian Retail Hub

The Teso Life announcement follows another recent arrival in the area: Ebisu, an Asian lifestyle retailer, opened a store in Seven Corners Center in May. The two stores signal growing demand for Asian products in the Fairfax County shopping district.
