Reston residents have an opportunity to help shape the community’s future by running for one of three open seats on the Reston Association Board of Directors.
The board establishes association policies and procedures, helps develop the annual budget and major capital projects, and oversees recreational programs, events and facilities. Its responsibilities also include supporting the upkeep of more than 50 miles of trails.
Board members help preserve the vision established more than six decades ago by Reston founder Robert E. Simon, who sought to create a community where people could live, work and play while enjoying shared open spaces and natural beauty.
Eligibility requirements, candidate information and application materials are available through the Board of Directors Election page and the Statement of Candidacy Form. Candidate materials must be filed by 5 p.m. Thursday, January 30.
