Red takes center stage at Reston Art Gallery in an all-member exhibition featuring paintings, sculpture, mobiles, fabric art and mixed-media works.

“A Touch of Red” opens Feb. 7 and runs through March 1. The show explores the color’s varied moods and meanings, using everything from understated accents to bold focal points to evoke energy, warmth and vitality.

The exhibition showcases work by member artists Pat Macintyre, Julia Tova Malakoff, Sandra Dovberg, Rosemarie Forsythe, Marthe McGrath, Jennifer Duncan and Cindy Grisdela. Adjunct members Doug Fuller and Wayne Schiffelbein are also participating.

An opening reception will be held Sunday, Feb. 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. and is open to the public.

Reston Art Gallery is at 11400 Washington Plaza W., Suite B, in Reston. Regular hours are Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. The gallery also opens by appointment.
