Fairfax County residents have spoken on their favorite local running events, with the Run Thru Reston Half Marathon & 5K claiming the top spot in a recent readers’ choice poll. The Friends of Reston Fall 5K and Reston Triathlon rounded out the winners.

Now a new poll is underway to find the county’s best eye doctor. Whether patients need a routine exam or specialized care, nominations are open for optometrists and ophthalmologists serving the area. Voting closes at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 7.

A separate poll for best chiropractor in Fairfax County remains open through 8:30 a.m. on July 31.

The eye-doctor poll covers providers offering routine exams as well as specialized care. Both active surveys invite Fairfax County readers to nominate and support local practices.
